Is the free plan really free?
Yes, completely. No credit card required. You get 1,000 requests per month with full access to all core features including encryption, tokenization, and audit logging.
What counts as a request?
Every call to any API endpoint counts as one request — whether it's protecting a message, tokenizing data, or decrypting. Health checks do not count.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
Requests will be rate-limited once you hit your monthly cap. You'll receive a 429 response. Upgrade your plan at any time to immediately restore access.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
How does the 3-minute key rotation work?
Your encryption key automatically rotates every 180 seconds. You always need the current key to encrypt new messages. Existing vault entries use a stable key and remain recoverable.
Is my data stored after processing?
Audit metadata (timestamps, PII types detected, risk scores) is stored for compliance. Original message content is never stored in plaintext. Encrypted vault entries are stored only if you use the tokenization endpoint.
